The program in detail:

For over fifteen years, the Taramana association, based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has been working to improve the daily lives of children in great poverty. It offers a wide range of activities, from academic support to sports, creative workshops and medical support.

 

It was within this structure that badminton made its debut in 2022, thanks to Emma who spent six months with the children of Taramana. She had brought a few rackets via Solibad and introduced the young people to this sport, offering them a moment of play and escape. Her initiative resonated with the children and the activity naturally became part of Taramana's program.

In November 2024:

In order for the new badminton activity to take root, Solibad has decided to support Taramana by funding a coach for the season. The teams on site are currently actively looking for the right person to supervise the young players and allow them to play regularly.

Thanks to this collective effort, badminton can become a sustainable practice for the children of Taramana.
